Is Englewood safe?

What school is there and is it a kid friendly neiborhood non mean comments please, its the only place for affordable living with my 2 boys and how bad is it and how good is it and is it safe to move two teens. I'm only trying to stay in the southside of Chicago for job purposes.Is it as frightening as everyone say or is it people dying for things that they do like gangs etc. just wondering and give tips for my boys and me.
