"A small community in a busy town"

East Ridge/Ptarmigan Park is located right off of Parker Road, a major thoroughfare that goes into Denver to the north and out past Parker to the south. The housing in this area is mainly single family homes on nice streets with a good amount of parking space. The neighborhood is bordered on all sides by busy streets which have restaurants, businesses, and the large country western bar and dance emporium called Stampede located just off of Havana.

While inside the neighborhood it is rather quiet, but if you're near one of the bordering streets the traffic can get noisy at times. I've been to this neighborhood many times but can't remember seeing any parks. There are some nice fountains near the corner of Parker Road and Havana Street at one of the business buildings located here.

There are several options for hospitals if you live here, and all are within a short drive.

Although the average home prices are around $150,000 you can find some less expensive as well as some considerably higher. The prices in this neighborhood have greatly fluctuated in recent years due to the economic situation in the States. The median income in this area is around $66,000.
Pros
  • cheaper home prices
Cons
  • surrounded by busy streets
