Downtown Rochester

So thrilled about the changes we have been seeing and will continue to see downtown Rochester with all the excitement of DMC. I wish we had more options for luxury condos downtown as I believe they would be so easy to sell! I get a lot of requests for downtown living, and although there are some options not nearly enough in my opinion. I feel confident that more downtown condos will be coming in the near future. Although we are hardly considered a city with great night life, the entertainment options continue to expand. There are several great establishments downtown for dinner and drinks but if you are looking for dancing...not so much! Thanks to the Rochester Downtown Alliance there are some really cool things going on downtown such as Thursdays on First, Rochester Fest, Winter Fest and Social Ice. I just love that these events bring the people of Rochester and surrounding areas together for some great social gatherings. It is such a clean,safe and friendly downtown it's great that there is more and more going on. We are also lucky to have the Rochester Public Library ,the Rochester Art Center and the Mayo Civic Center downtown.

Rochester's downtown is unique as it is largely made up of Mayo and St. Mary's medical facilities, however it is easy to get around by car, bus, walking subway, or above ground sky walk systems. There are big name concerts, sporting events, and conferences at the Mayo Civic Center throughout the year. Peace plaza offers a perfect outdoor oasis in the middle of the city with greenery, benches and a fountain to enjoy some quiet or the city view. You are within walking distance at all times to a great restaurant and an array of small boutique specialty shops not to mention the great hotels, perfect for travelers.
