"A town for everyone"
The hidden gem that is Downers Grove, offers something for everyone. No matter what time of year you are there, its natural beauty will entice the senses. There are many to walk such as parks and forest trails. Walking down town is an exciting experience's all in itself. There is the museum of Peirce Downer the founder of the town as well as original historic gravesite that rest some of the towns past residents. Another historic site to visit is the second theatre ever Downers has a large population but you will never feel like just one in the crowd. If you ever miss that small town feel then you can walk, ride your bike or take the train to this town that offers you excellent dining and entertainment. If you're looking to see a movie than you can see one it's of your favorites at the local theatre for a less the $5.00. This theater was the second theater ever built for sound and is listed under historic sites. This rough economy weakened find ourselves looking for cheaper things to do this town offers more than enough such as going to the library taking long walks through beautiful scenery and seeing cheap movies. I would recommend Downers Grove two anyone and hope that everyone can explore its majesty.
