"The city between two canyons"

It's an expensive but pretty part of the Salt Lake Valley. 25 mins from downtown, 45 mins to Park City. Cottonwood Heights Rec Center is fantastic. Quite a bit of crime though. Lots of restaurants and shopping just down the hill in the Ft. Union area. Prepare for a lot of people being LDS, and crazy right wing conservative republicans everywhere.
Pros
  • not quite as many religious people as other places
  • dog friendly
  • 20 minute drive to ski resorts
Cons
  • lots of religious people
  • cant take dogs up the canyons
  • traffic and crime higher than average
Recommended for
  • Professionals
  • Singles
