Cortland actually has more kid-friendly activites than may first meet the eye. There is a wonderful Children's Museum, the Bower's Science Museum, a bowling alley, a campground on the site of the Country Park & Museum, a terrific music school called the C-Note which offers group and private musical instrument instruction and vocal training, and a terrific Performing Arts Institute that has a rigorous but fun training program for those kids interested in theatre and dance. In the Cortlandt Town Center, there is a mulitplex that shows kid-friendly movies and also has a ton of family-friendly restaurants such as Applebees, Panera Bread, McDonalds, Nathan’s Famous, Subway and Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
