Carnegie Hill is a beautiful neighborhood. But, it's quite stuffy. It's mostly upper middle class families or retirees and it's pretty quiet outside of tourists coming and going for the park or the Frick. There isn't much in the way of a bar or restaurant scene and the neighborhood is pretty quiet at night. If you have kids, it's a great place to look into. If not, I wouldn't live there.
