Callejón Lajes, Ponce

Callejon Lajes is in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I spent my summers there as a child visiting my grandmother Elsa Lajes, my father Raul Lopez, my Great grandparents, Vicente and Rosa Lajes. At one time my family owned many acres of land in this barrio. It was covered with sugarcane and cotton fields. Today it is in the middle of a bustling town next to many stores including the Pueblo supermarcado and Banco popular, next to The Rambla shopping center. The memories and the friends I made there will never leave my heart. Long live the Lajes family. I love you forever.
