Living in Brighton Park, Chicago - what to expect, is it safe, lots to do?

Brighton Park isn't a half bad neighborhood, though I don't consider it my favorite in Chicago. There's a little bit of crime, though it's not horrible, and it's certainly diverse, which makes it interesting. I think it's decent for families, and you can do both better and worse.

Brighton Park is a working-class community, with parks nearby and a rich ethnic energy. There are some historic areas, restaurants, and a few sights to see, but overall it's a quiet and relatively safe residential area.
