"A quiet little street in town"
Birch Street is a short street in the town of Bennett that has some smaller single family homes. Although there are no amenities on this street as it's purely residential, there are a few things nearby within walking distance. There are two restaurants, a Family Dollar store, several churches, a post office, and the recreation center all within just a few blocks. It's also close enough for kids to walk to school, although they would have to cross Colfax which wouldn't be safe for the younger ones.
Many of the people who live on this street have lived here for years, although to my knowledge there are several rental homes here as well. Most of the homes here were built in the late 70s to early 80s and come with under 2000 square feet. I know that one of the homes on this street sold last year for just over $75,000 so it's a pretty good price for a starter home here. Many of the homes are well tended, but several aren't, which unfortunately brings down the looks of the street in general.
The one drawback in my opinion is the schools. As I've said many times before they aren't good, although like anywhere else, there are those who like it. Because of this, I would recommend this area to young families and retired people.
