Does Myers Corner have any interesting history?

From what I know, there aren't a lot of historical sites in Myers Corner per se. There are several in the broader Town of Wappinger and in surrounding towns, as Dutchess County does have a history that dates back to the American Colonial era, but even after searching for historical markers, I couldn't come up with any.

As someone who has lived very near Myers Corner for 20+ years, I'd say that the history of the hamlet itself doesn't really stand out. Like I said, there are other locales in the area that do have some interesting history and actually played key roles in the shaping of America.
