When I think of ballfields and basketball courts as things for the kids to do, I think of the schools (Ketcham, Wapp Junior High, places like that). That's where you'll find the baseball and all that (I'm more familiar with the parks in Poughkeepsie to be honest, and I know they exist there). Reese Park along the Wappinger Creek here probably has the most to do, but it's hiking, nature walks, birdwatching, things like that -- not really kid-friendly.

I can't come up with a lot of parks in Wappinger that are amazing for kids now that I think about it. There are parks and some are nice, but the activities are a little lacking.
