"Great Downtown Neighborhood!"

We love our historic bungalow downtown neighborhood, which has old growth tree-lined streets, is pet friendly, has great connectivity to bike trails and parks along the river, has two elementary schools, four churches, one higher ed-outreach, and four playgrounds! We have lived in the Slatterly Park neighborhood for the past 10 years, and love the proximity to everything! We love the charm of the neighborhood, where you’ll find a great mix of young and old, and a unique collection of homes predominantly built in the 1920’ -30’s. We love taking walks, and enjoy the neighborhood charm along the way, which include unique boulevard gardens, Art on the Ave sculptures, historic corner clocks, and friendly neighbors along the way! We walk and bike to work, the farmers market, which is conveniently located on the edge of our neighborhood, along with other great events downtown such as Thursdays on First and the Down by the Riverside Concerts on Sunday evening, along with all the great restaurants downtown!

We have one of the best, and most active neighborhood associations in the city of Rochester, our neighborhood puts on several events throughout the year including Art on the Ave – an art fair in the spring, an outdoor Music & Movie venue in the park in the summer, and a pumpkin carving event in the fall.
