"Hidden treasure in Sonoma County"

The subdivision of Vintana which is in South West Windsor is a hidden treasure in Sonoma County. Many people want to live in the Dry Creek Valley or Healdsburg but the price tag is prohibitive. Vintana is within 7 miles of Healdsburg and all it's wine and fun, but the prices are far more palatable. The houses are newer, (the subdivision broke ground in early 2000) and the homes have plenty of amenities and are well thought out. My husband and I lived in Vintana for almost 5 years and LOVED the area. There is a community park in the middle of the subdivision where everyone comes to celebrate the 4th of July and/or to talk on a daily basis while walking the dog or playing with the kids in the playground area. There is an annual garage sale that my husband and I put on that everyone participates in....last year we had over 60 families participate! There are tons of kids and families. It's the "Leave It To Beaver" experience. Vintana backs up to the High School which is great for families. The weather is temperate, the people are nice and the feeling is just good. The Town Green of Windsor is within walking distance and, in the summer months, there are children's movie night on Tuesdays and the Concert series and Farmer's market on Thursdays. Tons of fun! There is also a Farmers Market on Saturdays. It's a really great area to live and raise your kids!

"Wine Country at it's Finest"

Dry Creek Valley is home to some of the world's most renowned wineries and vineyards. It is home to the coveted "Passport Weekend" and other wine events that draw in people from literally around the globe. The area is absolutely stunning. It will take your breath away as you wander down Dry Creek Road wine tasting, bike riding, or just taking a leisurely drive. With layered views, vast vista's and miles of groomed vineyards, it is spectacular. Many of the residents have lived for generations on this fertile soil. You will find modest farm homes and incredible multi-million dollar estates. It is special in every way.
Pros
  • The hub of the north Sonoma County wine industry
  • Incredible views and expansive valley vistas

"Views, Views, Views!"

Montecito Heights is an upper-end area in central Santa Rosa that enjoys incredible views. If you are a view person, this is one area you should absolutely consider! It also enjoys wooded, private scenery and has an "elegant country" feel but is wonderfully centrally located. It is very close to all the fine and casual restaurants in downtown Santa Rosa and is within minutes of both Rincon Valley and Bennett Valley. Close to shops and in a great school district on the east side of Santa Rosa, this area has it all!
Pros
  • Views and privacy. Many custom homes on quiet streets
  • Views! Close to all downtown services, restaurants and movie theaters
  • Close to Annadel State Park, Sprink Lake and Howarth Park. Easy access to Hwy 101

"Truly beautiful in every way"

Annadel Heights backs up to Annadel State Park and is adjacent to Spring Lake and Howarth Park. If you like to bike, hike, run, take a casual stroll or just sit on a bench and read, this is the place for you. It enjoys warm Bennett Valley temperate weather, great schools, easy wine country living, warm community involvement and plenty of social activities. You can take in a movie just down the street at the Summerfield Theater or shop in Montgomery Village nearby. Many homes enjoy stunning views but are tucked in quietly in Annadel Heights. As Santa Rosa natives and having been in real estate in Santa Rosa for the past 20 years, we believe this is one of the most beautiful areas of Sonoma County. It's not to be missed!
Pros
  • Adjacent to Spring Lake, Annadel State Park and Howarth Park
  • Great places to eat and fun social options for both families and singles
  • Great schools, great shopping and every amenitie is very close

"Best little town in the USA!"

Healdsburg was recently touted as the "best small town in the USA" and we agree. It has a small town feel, plenty of community involvement, tons of things to do and is right in the middle of the famed Dry Creek and Russian River AVA's...so wine is in abundance! There are many, many wonderful restaurants, the Russian River to canoe or swim in and lot's of places to hike or bike.
Pros
  • Beautiful area, lots of community spirit
  • Great for families or singles, lot's to do
  • Temperate weather, lots of out doors activities
Cons
  • It's a bit pricey, but worth it!

"Lot's of fun with a small town feel"

Windsor is a great place to live. If you are into fitness, there are tons of bike trails and road bike options and hiking areas. Families flock here because there are so many things to do. There are great restaurants. It is safe and quiet with a small town feel, but only 7 miles from Santa Rosa. It is the newest town in Sonoma County and right between Santa Rosa and Healdsburg. In the spring and summer don't miss the kids movie night on Tuesdays on the town green and on Thursday nights the adults enjoy local bands. Tons of fun!
Pros
  • Safe and quiet small town feel
  • Lot's to do, lots of community involvement
  • Beautiful area and temporate weather
