"A Place for the city folks"

In the heart of downtown Atlanta, at 50 Upper Alabama Street is Underground Atlanta. Filled with the spirit and liveliness of any big city, Underground Atlanta has lots to do and see at any time and at any day. During the day, enjoy souvenir shopping and street performers and entertainment, and at night visit one of the many downtown restaurants and then dance the night away at a club. I'm a Philadelphia native, born and raised, and South Street is one of our most famous attractions for cultural history and the urban experience. Underground Atlanta provides the same unique allure, with everything from shopping boutiques to authentic local restaurants. I passed on the offered tours in favor of walking around this historic district on my own initiative. I can't comment much on the nightlife since I went during the day, but some unusual-looking bars caught my eye and may draw me back some other time to get a closer look.

"Average Atlanta Street"

17th street in Atlanta Georgia is a pretty average part of the city. The food around here is alright, but I wouldn’t go out at night. There has been a lot of muggings around this street, and I do not think its worth it just for a little something to eat. It does however give easy access to the better parts of town and malls and recreation spots. Its not too close to anything but its not too far. I would go as far as to say it could be its own town because it doesn’t really feel a part of Atlanta, feels more like a suburb.

"Great restaurants and even better shopping!"

Virginia Highland is a great neighborhood in Atlanta. Its streets are lined with trees and filled with cute cottages and great stores, bars and restaurants – what’s not to like! This area of Atlanta is known for its great ethnic restaurants and trendy bars, and it should be, they are great, but I think that the shopping is better. This neighborhood has the greatest and most diversified list of stores, including some great antique stores and book shops. It’s also easy to lose an afternoon people watching at one of the sidewalk cafes or checking out one of the many interesting art galleries.

"Good neighborhood to have a family"

College street is right off of Jonesboro Road in Forest Park. It is a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It is a great place to start and raise a family. You are not far from downtown or the mall. However you are in a great location to have peace and quiet and allow your children to play outside and not worry. Traffic is almost nonexistant on the street, on Jonesboro Road however there is a lot more traffic. You are right down the street from a few grocery stores, dollar stores and restaurants. The neighbors and friendly and the homes are beautiful.

"A young, fun, energetic neighborhood!"

Midtown, Atlanta is a great place to live with lots of great restaurants and shops, minimal crime, and nature. There is a lot to do in the Midtown and surrounding area. The streets are always busy with the hustle and bustle of people. You never feel alone or out of touch in this area. Midtown is a fun place for young professionals and is comprised of a very diverse demographic. There is something for everyone including great parks for families on the weekend or runners in the evening, movie theaters for nights out, and clubs and bars. The diversity of food choices is also vast. There is a restaurant for every specialty within a five minute walk of the center of Midtown. Great shopping is close by at Atlantic Station or Lenox in Buckhead. Overall, Midtown offers something for everyone, young or old!
