"Depends on the side of east central"

the more far you get from downtown the more unsafe it gets the downtown bits are some of the nicest areas in fort wayne and very safe although there there is a major difference once you walk down the street the once glamorous of the 1940s life style has been left to rot as you venture eastward with only indiana tech to brighten things up it is rather unsafe to walk at night in the east side of it and i would highly recommend to avoid that if you must
Pros
  • it has its nice areas
  • one of the first to get snow plowed
  • historic
Cons
  • unsafe areas at night

fort wayne ain't much of a big city i mean a lot of it is kinda a backward little town but here it feels a bit like chicago minus all the crime you can walk around at night and not die but also there are tall buildings to admire along with cultural art events to see and experience all without the high cost of the big city.
