"People are not neighborly"

An evening in Oct. 2018 my husband and I, senior citizens plus, got a flat tire on the Bronx River Parkway. We then exited at Bronxville. As we proceeded to change the tire a Bronxville citizen driving by us, stops his car dead in the roadway, approaches us and tells us to watch our step because there is a community garden on the grass between the gutter and the sidewalk. The gutter I tell you. We were in the street where the car was situated. Two old people. Never inquired if we needed to phone anyone or offer to call AAA. Have nothing more to say.

christinechagaris Not surprising. I spent part of my growing up years there, after we moved from Manhattan. (Never forgave my parents for that LOL). I found most not friendly and, despite the outward beauty and wealth of the town, most quite clannish and insular.

christinechagaris Doesn't surprise me. Did part of my growing up there and I found most are unfriendly and, despite the outward wealth there and prettiness of the town, the folks are quite insular and clique-ish.
