"Couldn't wait to leave 6th Street!!"

I was placed at the Baldwin Hotel, while waiting to move into permanent housing, where I currently live, which was still under construction. I ended up being at that hotel for 7 months, which felt like forever. I've been in my low-income apartment for 5 years now and couldn't be happier. Especially being on dialysis all this time as well. I would not recommend 6th Street as an area to consider moving to, unless you happen to be homeless and/or low-income, maybe looking for temporary housing. Too many drugs and crimes going on in that area. As matter of fact, 99% of the time when I lived there, I did not go out at night. Better safe than sorry.
Pros
  • Close to public transportation
  • Cheaper
  • Good access to freeway
Cons
  • Homelessness
  • Not very safe
  • Terrible parking
