About Me

Gardner, the principal of Dashel Mills Distinctive Properties, will lead the charge for Pacific Union’s northern expansion.

“Lake Tahoe is an extremely popular destination for Bay Area residents, many of whom own or are considering owning second homes in the area,” said Mark A. McLaughlin, CEO of Pacific Union. “Tahoe is a perfect fit for the Pacific Union brand, and we are looking forward to bringing our passion for extraordinary service to the region.”

Gardner says Pacific Union’s values align extremely well with the Dashel Mills philosophy, making the decision to take the helm of the new office an easy one.

“Dashel Mills was built on a promise for exceptional, committed service to each client, with personalized attention, professionalism, and great follow-through,” she said. “Pacific Union embodies these qualities both in its management and its real estate professionals, which made it a perfect fit. I’m very proud to be joining the Pacific Union team and am looking forward to a very successful start.”

Gardner has lived in the Lake Tahoe area for more than a decade and has deep real estate experience, including land and commercial development, finance, marketing, new home sales specialists, commercial and residential leasing, new construction management, and founding Dashel Mills, a full service residential brokerage.

An entrepreneur at heart, Gardner has also worked in the airline industry and founded a Bay Area Internet-based business early in the dot-com era. She is active in the Lake Tahoe community, where she founded the Tahoe Mothers’ Club, is a member of the Truckee Sportsmen’s Association, and serves on the board of directors of the Squaw Valley Ski Museum Foundation. As a supporter and advocate of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, she was a founding member of the Queen of Hearts fund and established the Gardner Family fund.

"Understated Village"

The best thing you can do is hop in the car and drive into the mountains to spend quality time in Tahoe. Northstar, located between Truckee and Kings Beach on highway 267. When you first arrive at Northstar your eye catches the amazing architecture in the Village. A European inspired space of high rock walls hiding the number to shops and restaurants.

The Shopping in the village, with choices of high quality outdoor gear or a peaceful massage or spa session. Hungry? check out Sushi, Pizza, Wine Bar or even Ski into the Chocolate Bar.

With an ice skating rink in the middle of the village, makes for great family time around the fire pits while listening to live music. Or enjoy a movie at the new theatre!

Northstar has every accommodation imaginable, the view from the Gondola, the comfortable enclosed lift delivers you right to the doorsteps of The Ritz Carlton.

You will return to this Village.

"Everything at your fingertips"

Kings Beach has a little bit of everything. Close to Northstar and quick access to Truckee.

I love the Recreational Center, with Volleyball, Barbeque pits, and the grocery store directly across the street makes it for an easy picnic! Easy Beach access with local rentals for standup paddle boarding, kayaking, or just boating.

Tons of restaurants with a lot of variety with, beachside grill, mexican, italian, and fast food.

This beach is typically packed in the summer time, get there early for a spot! What I love the most about Kings Beach are all of the hidden beaches around - it really makes it fun to find those private little beaches.

"A Small Part Of The Lake - Where everyone knows your name"

Tahoma is located along Lake Tahoe 2 miles southeast of Homewood. If you are interested in a tight knit community, this is it. Everyone knows everyone! Extremely dog friendly, with the neighborhood dogs roaming the local streets. There is not much for shopping, but you cannot miss the only market stocked with many attractive items. You have easy access to the bike path leading to Tahoe City!

Spend a day or two on the West Shore and you’ll understand immediately why it’s called the ”Magical West Shore”. Known for its beauty, and outdoor activities, there is so much to see and do on Lake Tahoe’s Magical West Shore.

"Great Location for Amazing Views of Lake Tahoe"

Boating is to Carnelian Bay what blue is to Lake Tahoe. In summer, it is life. The Sierra Boat Company, considered a premier US wooden boat builder, opened here in 1952. Annually boat fanatics from around the country trailer their classic woodies to the Concours d'Elegance wooden boat show for a weekend of nostalgic Lake Tahoe cruising.

Leading up to and following this Gatsby-esque gathering, Carnelian's two state beaches belong again to dogs, kayakers and sunset seekers. In winter, Carnelian Bay's central location puts you in decision-making mode; regardless of whether you turn right or left, you'll be aimed toward the North Shore's 12 Lake Tahoe ski resorts.

The town was christened Carnelian Bay in 1860 because of the semi-precious red and yellow stones peppering the shoreline. Today, a hearty treasure of Tahoe vacation rentals line the beach as well.

"Perfect Location!"

This is one of the best neighborhoods at Tahoe. It’s low-elevation and faces mostly south. The amenities are great with lakeview tennis courts, a deep water pier, large mooring field and sandy beach with storage for kayaks, canoes, etc. In the middle of the neighborhood there is a big swimming pool, lawn, volleyball, and more tennis courts. In summer Dollar Point has open air movies on the lawn. It’s a great morning walk neighborhood and you’ll see lots of folks enjoying the views and checking out lakefronts while others chuff up the hills to get in a good workout. Dollar Point is a fantastic spot for rental income because of its proximity to Tahoe City and all the ski areas. For lots of savvy vacationers, Dollar Point is as far from town as people want to be especially because it’s before the sometimes-treacherous downhill as you head away from town into Cedar Flat. Some of the best mountain biking (and cross country skiing) in all of Tahoe is across the street starting from the Nordic Center.

With about 200 residents, located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. This little section of the Lake you cannot miss! It is located 5.5 miles south of Tahoe City and north of Chambers Landing and Tahoma. With the location of Homewood Mountain Resort and the amazing view of Lake Tahoe is a great mountain for the experienced skier or the intermediate skier. Obexter's Market makes it easy to grab a quick bite or if you decide to rent Bikes/Ski Gear you are not far with West Shore Sports right there!

"Perfect Location, Quite, Friendly Neighborhood"

Agate Bay is Perfect for someone who wants to be just outside of all of the shops. Located between Tahoe City and Kings Beach allows many options for Eating out and other activities. With Tahoe Vista just a few miles away you get to experience sandy beaches, disk golf course, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, and even para-sailing! Maybe you want to head the other direction to Tahoe City for some shopping! I love that Agate Bay is centrally located on the North Shore. The neighborhood is quite with the few full time residence.

Along with the rest of Tahoe, there are a few bear spottings, but this an extremely safe neighborhood with kids and dogs playing in the streets :)

"One of the Best Homeowners Beach Association on the West Shore"

One of the best beach association on the West Shore. Tahoe Park is close to Tahoe City and situated next to the infamous Sunnyside Restaurant and Bar. Located on approximately 3 1/2 fenced acres are picnic stations with barbecues, volleyball court, 2 piers, boat buoys, horseshoe pits, lawn area, playground equipment, basketball court and open space. Did I mention that all of this property sits lakeside with amazing views. This is truly a family friendly association. The neighborhood is a mix of quaint old Tahoe cabins with remodels and in recent years new builds. Great hiking trails in Paige Meadows. The yearly HOA dues are nominal considering the amenities. This is an extremely popular second home neighborhood. Home prices start at $300,000 +
Pros
  • Outstanding homeowners amenities.
  • Bike path to Tahoe City from the bottom of Pine & Sequoia Avenue.
  • It's central location.
Cons
  • For most homeowners you'll need to drive to the beach.
  • If you walk to the beach you will have to cross the busy highway.
