"Busy with dangerous traffic"

This is a well kept, beautiful area of town with some nice average sized homes, mostly fenced in with yards. I have family that lives here so I've been visiting this street for at least five years. The only problem with the area is cars speed through, and there aren't stop signs everywhere. It can be dangerous crossing or trying to exit.

"Just an okay area"

This area isn't the best in town but it isn't the worst. You could do a lot better going to Marmion Way or Baltimore Avenue. This side of town is generally more run down, although it's closer to the freeway and Figueroa Street. You're walking distance from a lot of shopping and dining here, however.

"A hidden gem"

Very nice neighborhood to live in, a hidden gem in Highland Park. The only downsides are the street can be a little busy and there isn't a whole lot of parking (but the parking isn't the worst). The area is quiet, lots of kids and dogs, and ice cream trucks go by in the summer. Milo Terrace is a nice family street.

"Nice place but little parking"

Avenue 50 is a nice place but it's a very busy street. There's also very little parking and not much to do. You're not too close to anything to walk to, but you're a few minutes drive from Figueroa Avenue and York Ave, and not far from Eagle Rock. Overall I wouldn't recommend living there.

"Center of town"

Marmion Way is in the center of Highland Park, California but it's a quiet residential street. There's a small elementary school there, apartment buildings, and a generally well maintained street. Traffic is moderate, but not intrusive. Highland Park is a great place to live and Marmion way is in the middle of everything.

"A great area"

One of the nicest areas of town. The neighbors are very nice and the street is very quiet. There is very little traffic. All the homes are maintained well, and it's just a very enjoyable area. It's within walking distance of York Avenue, giving you plenty of food and shopping to walk to. There's also a bank within walking distance.

"Sort of a bad area"

This is sort of a bad area of town. This street is also very unpleasant, with a lot of roaming dogs, blind turns, and absolutely no parking. I visited here many times and didn't like the atmosphere at all. Just a few miles away you'll find much nicer places to live.

"Area is up and coming"

The area of Highland Park is definitely up and coming, with more to do all the time. This particular area is nice, and would be an enjoyable place to live. This is a nice street to raise a family on, or retire to. Home values are still good here. I lived in the area for 3 years.

"An okay area to live"

South Avenue 57 is an alright place to live; I lived in a gated community of apartments that was okay but run down. There's a few parks within walking distance, and the location is absolutely great. You're right off the 110 freeway. Traffic is picking up lately, and it can be dangerous for children outside.

"Nice atmosphere & Quiet Street"

The homes on Echo Street are all well cared for, with nice yards, fences and sidewalks. Everything is well maintained. There is a religious facility on this street, as well as a bar, liquor store, drug store, and many shops within walking distance. Overall, this is a nice street to raise a family or to live on.
