"Inner city living-no thank you!"

Trowbridge is another neighborhood, located near Daisy Avenue, that used to be a fantastic neighborhood and is now marred by crime and gang activity. I would not recommend living or visiting this street at night for fear of being robbed or beaten. The police do not visit very often and are very slow to coming to the aide of the residents who live there. It is located near many shops and restaurants but the neighborhood is dilapitated and run down.

"Horrible inner city living"

I lived on Tate Avenue as my very first apartment ten years ago when the neighborhood was nice and accomodating to families and retirees. I would never recommend living on this street now as there is rampant crime and gang violence on an almost nightly basis. When I witnessed an individual being beaten on the street, I had to leave. It is centrally located and has a number of fast food and convenience options nearby but it is not worth the hassle.

"Good neighborhood gone bad"

years ago, the area of Daisy Avenue was a great place to raise children and families, but that is not the case right now. Now, gang activity has taken over and it is no longer safe to be in this neighborhood. the residents would beg to differ, but the statistics can no longer be ignored. I would be very uneasy about raising my family there or even living there myself. It is close to a number of restaurants, but I would not recommend them.

"Community togetherness with friendliness"

Mayview is a residential area on the west side of cleveland near Plymouth Road and the Jennings freeway. There is a sense of togetherness in the community and each neighbor comes together to help the other. In order to find restaurants or grocery stores, inhabitants will have to travel a bit to the outlying communities. There is a problem with teenagers and vandalism that the police departments have not kept a very good eye on, however.

"Industrial Living with a bit of home life"

Van Epps is mostly known for its business district that houses a number of companies with or without warehouses. Located near Spring Road, Schaaf Road, and the Jennings Freeway, businesses in the area pay a considerable amount of taxes to the neighborhoods to help improvements. There are about seven homes scattered among the businesses and inhabitants need to travel to neighboring cities for grocery stores, entertainment or restaurant options.

"Business District Living"

Located just off the I-76, Jennings Freeway interstate, Hinkley Industrial Parkway is loaded with businesses and opportunities to put money in the community. This road is home to businesses like the Charter One Bank processing center, Frito Lay distribution warehouse, and a rehabilitation center for the mentally challenged. There is also an empty field at the top fo the road that over looks all of downtown Cleveland. Every year during the 4th of July, residents in the neighborhood meet at the field and take advantage of the grand display to watch fireworks.

The area of Spring road in Cleveland is a genuinely hard working community. Many of the residents who live on the streets, also work in the community. Spring Road is home to a middle school, a pre school and a community garden that helps to get the residents involved in beautifying the community. Spring Road boasts one family restaurant and corner store that residents swear make the community more home-like. The streets are inhabited by couples, retirees, families, and singles alike!

"Not enough police support!"

I have lived on Plymouth Road with my grandmother, who has lived there for many months. The atmosphere of the street is very much middle america and middle class. The neighbors all know one another and hold an annual block party to celebrate being together and being as one. The problem is that there is a rampant problem with children causing vandalism in the community and the police do not seem to be very dominant in the area. The police do respond to the events after they have happened but ther eisn't much done in the way of crime prevention in this area anymore.

"Quiet, trustworthy neighborhood"

I live on Schaaf Road currently and have grown up here my entire life. You could not ask for a better community to live in. It is rich in history and far enough removed (6 miles from downtown) from the big city to be free from the crime and corruption that takes place there. Schaaf Road is part of the village of Brooklyn Heights and houses many families that have lived here for years. The community is such that you can walk down the street late at night and be protected. You can leave your doors unlocked and feel confident that the police have a good enough watch on the street to not let anyone break in. I couldn't imagine living any where else.
