"If you don't like Bay View, you probably don't like life."
One of my favorite neighborhoods in town. Something for everyone. Most of my friends with kids live here, but it's good if you're a student, professional, or retiree. Lots of excellent restaurants, but it also has a nice homey feel.

"A small town in a big town"
I've lived here in Riverwest for about four years now. First as a student, then as an unemployed graduate, then as a young professional. I've been both single and married here, and I don't want to live anywhere else. It's a weird neighborhood with a lot of personality. It's great if you like neighborhood togetherness, a sense of community, and personality. You will not like Riverwest if you want something shiny, new or upscale. If you want that, why are you coming to Milwaukee at all, though?
