"Very busy street!"

This street has so much along it. Shops, Theatres, hotels, busiess', retail chains and apartments. I think its a busy street 24 hours a day. There is also a lot of traffic and people walking. Overall, its a popular street with alot of action. It's also a street that can take you to other major streets so living there could be good for your commute.

"Seems like a nice quiet street."

I like this street because it seems to be nice and quiet and the houses are all either very nice or an apartment building which used to a house. It's not too far to go to the grocery either, about a 5 minute drive. I would consider living here if I had transportaions. Plus its close to the freeway.

"Nice, pleasant but busy street."

I like this street...............I think its because its a busy street, plenty of retail shops, places to eat and business'. There is always people out walking somewhere and buses are always going up and down it. It's close to everything and the quieter areas of the street would be a nice place to live in my opinion because it's a street that will take you to just about every major street. I like this street!

"Very active Boulevard!"

This street has a ton of litter and super busy. There are so many apartment dwellings and retail shops. They also have a ton of street vendors out trying to sell all kinds of stuff. It's a street filled with people walking, riding bikes, pushing carts filled with goods they are selling and also people with shopping baskets.

"Busy, Busy Street!"

Wilshire Blvd is a busy street during the day and at night. It has many high rise buildings, retail shops and offices. The street is always packed with traffic and there are many traffic lights. It is also packed with pedestrians too. It's not a real clean street either.

"Very popular street!"

This street is very popular as it takes through many cities. It changes its personaility, feel and the nature of its safety as you drive on it and go through all the cities. In Los Angeles, there are mostly industrial type buildings and offices with a few places to eat here and there. There are a ton of mexican food stands and many street vendors selling fresh fruit. Overall, its an easy street to drive down.

"A busy street and would never consider living on it."

I have taken York Boulevard many times to get from one side of L.A. to another and everytime I have gone down the street I have noticed many, many people walking or waiting for the bus. There are mostly small business', nothing really poplular or any type of chain. I have noticed they put in fancy trash cans along the busiest part of the street. The street has heavy traffic and a lot of traffic lights. It doesn't seem very safe to be on at night. I would never consider living on this street, not even if I were single.

"Busy, Dirty Boulevard!"

This street is very busy and not pretty. There are mostly business' type buildings and apartment complexes, nothing well known or any type of well known retail stores. It's not a safe street to be on at night as there are street walkers at night. The street is lined with telephone poles. The buildings are all run down. Not a great street to look at but there is heavy traffic on it because it is an easy path to take if you are going thru that area.

"Quiet Street with Views"

This street goes up a rather steep mountain to the top of a new housing development that is gated. Along the way up there are about 5 buildings on the left that are all condos. There is also a guard on duty to be sure people aren't parking along the street to attend the Hollywood Bowl which is located at the bottom of the street. There are always deer along the mountain side to the right as you are driving up. It's a very beautfiul street with wonderful views.

"Nice, long, treelined street!"

This street has a mix of all feels. On one end it is blocks of park activity and the other end is an old neighborhood. Its a nice street to take to avoid the main highway (108). The houses are kept up nicely and the landscaping is great. There are a few blocks of apartments and duplexes. Its close to schools, parks and the street ends at a major hospital. The other end of the street ends in downtown Modesto. The traffic is kind of loud and you do get alot of joggers.

"Awesome, Wide, Treelined street!!"

This street is one of the widest streets I have ever seen. Its a treelined street and a block away from a huge, popular park. The houses on it are rather huge and most of the occupants are the original owners from the 50's or less. The street is very clean, the neighbors take pride in the lawns and landscaping. The only problem would be when they are having a celebration at the park (Graceda Park) the parking can become a problem and you can hear the speakers.

"Nice old neighborhood."

This street is tree lined. There are a mix of duplexes and houses. The city has taken out some of the trees and have not replaced them so its got patches of areas without the trees. The neighbors are'nt as warm and friendly as I would expect. Its kind of far for the kids to walk to school but close to a major shopping center. Its about a half a mile from one of the main highways that goes thru Modesto.

"Great street to live on and raise a family!"

There are about 18 houses on this street, thats it. The court ends at a huge, long narrow park but surprising you dont get any bad vibes or bad activity from the park. Its just a grassy area so its great for the kids to play in. The park is maintained nicely too. The neighbors are all friendly and it is close to schools. It is also easy to get on the freeway for those commuters.

"Well established neighborhood."

This street is a family oriented street. There are alot of occupants who are raising families. All the neighbors know eachother which is great. The noise at night is something else though. You get cars racing up the street, peeling out and there are alot of teenagers walking the streets at night so dont sleep with your windows open because I've been woken up to them talking as they are walking. The houses are about 18 years old but the everyone keeps up the paint and landscaping. It is close to schools and parks (walking distance) but a drive to the market.

"NIce place to raise a family!"

I loved this street. It is a tree lined street with nice houses, people actually take pride in the lawns. The neighborhood is very friendly and quiet. Its kind of far from the grocery store, hospital and schools. If you were to go a few blocks away off Mercy you would be in the country. It is surrounded by an orchard so allergies were always a problem. Overall, this is a nice street to raise a family.

"The street that takes you everywhere you need to go!"

This is one of the main roads that take you from one end of Modesto to the other. The speed limit is 45 or so but everyone does 50+. The traffic builds up around major intersections but other than that it moves pretty fast. The lanes are divided by olianders so its a pretty street and the roads are smooth.

"Nice street but rather noisy."

This was a great street when the neighborhood first went up, about 18 years ago but since then the houses have been let go. No one is keeping up their landscaping. It is also a street next to a park that gets pretty crowded with the wrong kinds of people. We were burglarized twice while living there. There are a couple schools in the area, one in which you can hear the school bell while school is in. It is a block away from one of the main streets that goes thru the area so you do hear the traffic.

"The Famous McHenry Avenue"

This street is one of the main streets that takes you thru Modesto. It is famous for the movie American Graffiti. The beginning of the street (close to downtown) there are alot of older business', as you go down the street it becomes wider and new business' appear. It does have some traffic but its one of the main roads. Its a nice scenic drive to get to know Modesto.

"Beautiful Tree Lined Street"

This street is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Modesto. It is tree lined and the houses are kept up nicely. You have a mix of people living there; you have the older neighbors who have lived there since the 50's and the new generation fixing up the old houses. It is pretty quiet except when they are having a function at Graceda Park which is two blocks away, then the parking on the streets becomes packed. It runs one block north of the famous McHenry Avenue, which is the 108 highway. The trees lining the roads are huge and the city has replaced some of them as they were super old. The schools are close by. I love this street!!! Its a popular area to live in.
