"A great Medium sized city, full of things to do."

I love Eugene. I have been here for 8 years. It is so fun. There are art and music festivals all summer. It's an hour from the beach, and an hour from the slopes. It is a quick drive to Portland. But this town is relaxed and liberal. The people here are friendly and fun. And there are so many things for families to do. It is wet and rainy most of the year, but you get used to it.

"Way too busy to live on"

This is a great street to use to get around town, most of the time. It is definately one to avoid around peak traffic hours. There are plenty of places to eat and shop. But it would be too noisy for one to want to live on. I think that it is a great street to visit to go shopping, but I enjoy living far away from this street, It is really too loud and busy to be near. But does offer a variety of shops.

"Not A fun street"

It's busy and loud. There are plenty of things to do along this street. Plenty of shopping and restaurants. But it really is not clean and welcoming. It is Highway 26 through Portland to Gresham. And is not made for anything but driving on through. It is hard to navigate to local businesses once you reach the area where they have the tree lined dividers in the middle. But there are some great restaurants like the 24 hour Hotcake house on 10th and Powell.

"A great street to relax on!"

This is a great street to drive down, you skip a lot of traffic from the other bigger streets. But it is such a pretty street. Lots of trees and nice houses. There are some restaurants and shopping just off 41st. I love this street, it has the potential to be buzzing with activity.

"Fun neighborhood to be in!"

This is a great street to be on! There are plenty of lovely little neighborhood businesses. A highlight of the the area is the Clinton Street Theatre. They still do showings of Rocky Horror on Saturday nights. There are some great restaurants in the area. And it is a great place for families to be! There are a few parks in the area.

"A great place to be!"

I never lived on this street, but I would love to. It is a busier street, but it doesn't always feel like one. When you are east of 39th, the street is covered with trees. It feels like a hideaway in the middle of the city. It is very close to a lot of resturants and shopping and I would love to live there.

"Not to fond of this road"

I spent a lot of time on this street as a kid. It never bugged me to be on that street. There is a lot of traffic on the road and they go through very fast. It is not a very clean area or a very safe area. The neighborhoods are trying to reinvent themselves, but they have very few businesses to draw people into the area and bring the money in to fix up the street.

"A busy street with lots to do"

This is a great South to North route through Portland, I wouldn't want to live right on this street. But there are plenty of stores and restaurants lining it all through SE Portland. It is a busy street, but at least there are two lanes running each way. Watch out for the big hill by 39th and Ivon, it's hard to see over the hill and you want to be cautious when going over the top.

"A busy street to be by"

Division would not be my ideal street to live on, no matter what part of town you are in, it's busy. But It does offer a lot of great services to the residents that live near that street. There are plenty of schools on or near Division. And it is right near a great park called Mt. Tabor. There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and shopping up and down division, ANd it is a good way to get from the waterfront to east portland or gresham.

"Excellent way to spend a Saturday!"

I have spent a huge chunk of time walking up and down SE Hawthorne. I lived really near, and I love nothing more than to go window shopping between 39th and 30th on Hawthorne street. There are many excellent shops, with plenty of unique and entertaining things. And you can't beat the McMenamin's Aladin Theatre. There are also some other amazing restaurants, I love Fujin near about 35th. There are plenty of coffee shops and other great little places. You really can't go wrong. Living in the area is a blast too, there are all kinds of funky and artistic homes mixed in with some older buildings.

"A great place for families"

I grew up living on Ivon street in Portland. I loved my time there. The neighborhood was filled with a variety of people. There were families with children, older couples, single people and so on. I had other friends on that street who were similar in age and it was very close to the local elementary school. I still go back and visit and I still love it. Ivon is parallel to Division street, which is where a lot of stores and retail shops are located. And there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within a reasonable walking distance. We always knew all our neighbors and they were always wonderful to us and we would have block parties.
