"Best street in Bushrod!"

This street is the perfect blend of old and new. We have about 1/3 of the street who've been here for +30 years and know the good and the bad times. (The bad times were the late 80s and early 90s.) Then there are the 1/3 "White liberal freaks" who moved here in the 2000s. I say this with the deepest of love. They saw how great the neighborhood could be and they wanted to be in a diverse community. Then after 2015, a group of young families moved on to our street. It seems like everyone new is pregnant.

"Small town vibe, with easy City access...growing familes, diversity, and great weather"

We've lived here for 12 years and have watched the (evil) gentrification happen. Yes, snarkiness. Our community had been a gang hot spot, but diligent community policing now means it has one of the lowest crime rates in the East Bay, and therefore one of the "hottest" neighborhoods in the US. (This is also due to a mix of older retirees and young families--- someone is awake and peaking out of their windows, so the criminal have learned to stay away.)

We're very happy here and love that our neighbors care about us. Yes, they will be in your business. But, after all, isn't that what being in a community is all about???
