"A suburban oasis in the city"
If you were to drive through West Roxbury without knowing your location you would assume you were driving through one of Boston suburbs. It is comprised primarily of tree-lined streets with single family homes. Centre Street is the main drag and has really gone through a transformation in the last few years, as it now features many great shopping and dining options. While there certainly aren't the night-life options available down town it is a great compromise for those needing to live near the city but wish to have a more suburban home setting.
