"A fine little city"

Richmond, IN is located on the eastern most border of Indiana off of I-70 on the border between Indiana, and Ohio. It is a small city with a population that fluctuates between 30-35,000 individuals. Lately the city has become a “hotspot” for restaurants. We recently received a Chipotle, and have just opened a new IHOP.

Although there are many “commercial” restaurants, the local fare leaves these big behemoths in the dust. Clara’s Pizza on NW 5th is a local favorite. It serves a “Royal Feast” pizza that is to die for! I would also suggest a “Wheel Burger” from, of all places, the Wheel (which is a small town bar that serves Great food).

The city, for the most part, is quiet and peaceful. Many new senior assisted living homes are being erected for those that have chosen to call Richmond home for their lives. As for the medical facilities, we just had a new Reid Memorial hospital built. It is a fine medical facility that employees some of the finest doctors in the state (let’s not forget the nurses either).

Finally, I will end by telling about the park systems. Go by Glen Miller Park (on 40 heading west) and you will no doubt see the Madonna of the Trail. Along the opposite side of the road, you will see what was once called Millionaire Row. If you ever have the fortune to travel to Richmond, make sure to take a look at the pristine architecture of the houses that sit in sight of Glen Miller. Truly spectacular is all that can be said. A must see!
