"A normal street with row houses"

This is a nice street with nice homes. Nothing too special and nothing that stands out. People on this street are married couples and families who are nice, normal people. the street is close to public bus transportation and a church is close by. You will need to do a bit of a drive to get to make shopping and eating..but nothing over 20 minutes. It is fairly close to the major highway and parks are not too far. Overall, this is a good street for people looking to settle into the neighborhood and dont want to spend tons of money on their first home.

"Very quiet street with great neighbors"

I found that the people are tend to be on this street are a bit older. This is a good thing; they create less noise and the street remains a calm, safe place. Because this street is so close to the cemetery, this also influences the type of people that move into this neighborhood. This street and surrounding area is a hotspot for people on Halloween due to the fact that there are older people willing to shell out tons of candy to the kids and also because the cemetery is a few streets away.

"Friendly people across from a cemetery."

This street has nice homes and friendly people. The cost of the homes is very good, there is only one problem; its directly across from a cemetery. This is why the cost of the homes is good and the chance of a resell can be an issue. If you can get past the fact that when you look out of the window, you will be looking at graves, then this could be the street for you. The homes are nice, have a decent amount of space and nice lawns. The people are friendly and laid back. Aside from the cemetery, the only negatives I have for this street is cellphone reception and kids wandering in to the cemetery at night causing annoyance. I often lost my cellphone reception here. It was on and off. Kids would sometimes go in to the cemetery late at night to play games which sometimes turned in to vandalism.

"Quaint street in a good location"

Ellen street has some nice homes with great lawns. If you're lucky, you'll get a pool in the back. Otherwise, a nice backyard is to be expected. It is close to a highschool, churches, and eating out. Nice, big trees in the yards create a nice, cozy feel to the street and also creates a good amount of shade. Homes here can be a little on the expensive side, but worth it if you can put in a little extra before you sell. The location is a pretty good guarantee of a resell.

"Great Street with friendly people and nice homes"

This street is a great place for families or couples to settle into. It has nice homes with great properties at an ok cost. This is very friendly neighborhood that isnt too far away from the essentials like schooling, church or shopping. Kids can easily play outside on this street and the parents wont have to worry about busy traffic or creeps. The street is also close enough to the highway for travelers but far enough away to where you wont hear the road noise.

"Horrible location and noisy"

Wattling street is a very random little grouping right in the middle of International blvd and the major highway. The streets are dirty, ugly and not safe. The noise alone would stop anyone from wanting to live here. The only things around this street are grungy storage sheds and busy roads. I would not recommend this street to anyone.

"A simple street close to major highways"

Bridge Avenue is a simple street with simple homes thats close to the major highways. This can be both good and bad. The bad would be the noise. You can definitely hear the road noise from this street. The good thing about this is that it is fast and easy to get on the highway for travel to work, school etc. This would not be the place i would recommend for someone to settle down, but a convenient place to live for a year or so would be more accurate.

"A short street in a good location"

Thompson street is a small street with a few small homes. The only good thing about this street is that it connects with a major street that will take you past most everything in the neighborhood. This includes the restaurants, churches, school and shopping. The homes are not that expensive but with it being such a small street, availability can be an issue.

"affordable homes in an ideal location"

Mera Street is a cute street that has homes slightly on the smaller side, but they are nice and this street is in a good location. Just one block away are grocery stores, churches, a highschool, light shopping and restaurants. People here are good, light hearted people with open minds. School buses can sometimes be a hassle, but not too bad. If you dont need or have a car, there is also a bus stop one block back mera street.

"Good street with cute houses"

This is a good street for someone who wants a neighborhood feel thats close to a school. This street is also close to some shopping and places to eat. Although the shopping is minimal, drive about 20 minutes and you will hit some decent shopping centers. The people on this street are generally nice and take care of their property.

"Great up and coming neighborhood!"

Temescal used didn't use to be the greatest neighborhood. It didn't really have very convenient streets to get places and the shopping wasn't that good. BUT, with the addition of the freeway and people FINALLY coming back to the neighborhood, its getting better. New shops and places to eat are coming in and its finally getting to be quite a nice place to live. Traffic can be busy at times but that happens everywhere. Temescal has a lot of potential to become a hotspot for new home buyers. If they keep doing exactly what they're doing now, in a few years this WILL be the place to live.

"This is a busy street with nothing on it."

Cypress Avenue is a street most commonly used to get to the highway. There is only a small neighborhood off of this street with small houses that I would not recommend for people with kids. This street is very busy with traffic. The good thing about this street is that is provides gas stations, food and easy access to the highway.

"Frederic Avenue is great for transportation and relaxation"

This street is in a great location because it is close to schools, churches, shopping and public transportation. There is a public school about 3 blocks away from this street and a public bus system stops on this street heading to the intersection. It is about 6 minutes from the mall and restaurants and the neighborhood itself is quaint and friendly. There is also a Starbucks nearby and gas stations.

"Cute neighborhood next to a highway"

Rossmore Lane is a cute area with friendly neighbors and lots of animals. There is always someone outside either walking a dog, rollerblading or kids playing in the front yards. People in this neighborhood tend to be very friendly and outgoing. the downside to living here is how close it is to the major highways. The only solution i can think of to make this not so bad is to build a sound barrier using some sort of bush or treeline.

"Nice street in a good location"

This is good street for people who are looking to be close to everything but still somewhat hidden from traffic noise and large amounts of people. the houses here tend to be on the smaller side but they are cute and the people are nice. A great thing about this street is that it is right next to a nice park with lots of trees and greenery. it is also close to shopping and places to eat. It is also close to all major roads for people to need to travel on a daily basis.

"Great street with lots of shopping and eating out."

This street is close to major highways, shopping and eating out. Living here comes with the good an the bad of living downtown. The bad is the traffic amount and noise. Being so close to the intersection and highways, you will be stuck in traffic on occasion and you will hear traffic noise. The pluses are the mall is very close with great stores to spend money in and there are tons of restaurants close by to either eat at or take out. People who have to commute would probably like this location because they can easily get on a road headed in the direction they need to go.

"Cute neighborhood thats safe but sometimes loud."

This street is great for anyone wanting to settle down in a nice neighborhood. The only downfall to this street is that it is close to a major highway. Traffic noise can sometimes find its away into the neighborhood. Other than that, it has nice homes with friendly people. It is about half a block away from Gansberger Park. There plenty of trees and greenery to make anyone happy.

"Great street close to shopping and dining!"

Yosemite way in a great little street with cute homes. The major plus to living here is that it is about 2 minutes from a mall and great places to eat. If you dont mind being next to busy traffic at times, this is the street for you. Another great thing about this location is that since it is close to everything, you really don't have to leave your house to eat. Ordering in is very easy here. Nothing it out of the way. The 2 major decisions people have to make here is whether the mall and eating out is better than traffic noise and rush hour.

"Great street in a great location!"

I have friends who live on Pear Street and they LOVE it for many reasons; It is great if you are a college student because Chabot College is literally a block away and there is also a cute coffee shop. It is also great if you like to go to church because there are a number of churches only a block or 2 from this street. It has great homes at reasonable prices and it it quiet. Right down from this street is also one of my favorite places to grab a quick dinner, Jack In the Box. YUMM. Within a 2 block radius you also have a Bank of America, Olive Garden(yumm again) and a shopping center with stores such as Burlington Coat Factory.

"Nice homes but RIGHT next to a school"

I have walked down Madeline Lane many many times with my dog or simply going for a jog. I lived one street away from Madeline Lane for 6 months and I can tell you that living one road away really made a difference. Madeline lane is directly across from Eden Gardens Elementary School. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. For people with kids its great! they can watch their kids walk to school and have an ease of mind knowing where their kids are. But for people without kids who wanted a nice, quiet street to live on...not so good. There are constant noises of kids screaming and playing all day and the traffic gets very loud on this street because of school buses.

"Nice residential street with LOTS of kids."

I lived on this street for about 6 months. It has rows and rows of nice homes with great lawns and plenty of kids. The only downfall to this street is that Eden Gardens Elementary school is only a street away. This means that it can be quite loud in the afternoon and school buses hold up traffic. This is great if you have kids because they can either take the bus one block, or simply walk.

"An okay place to live if you want to go green."

I lived in Hayward Park for about 2 years, but decided to move back to the city life. I have to say that if you want to raise a family, this place wouldnt be a bad choice. It is quiet, mostly friendly people and lots to do outdoors. One of the things i loved the most about Hayward Park is that the grocery stores are very environmentally friendly. Instead of using countless numbers of grocery bags from the store, they allow you to bring your own bags. You can use anything from backpacks, luggage, pretty much anything you want. Another great thing about this area is how beautiful it is. People take very good care of their landscapes. Everywhere you look are flowers, greenery and nature. Overall, Hayward Park in San Mateo, CA is a great, relaxed place to live for a quiet couple or a family wanting to settle down.
