"Beautiful Street in the Foothills of East San Jose"

Porter Ln. has a quiet, serene feel to it. A variety of custom, middle to upper-class homes is a norm here. The street is relatively quiet, and neighbors are friendly. Around holidays, such as Halloween, 4th of July, and Christmas, the street homes are decorated festively. Although not very close to a variation of shopping, The nearest grocery center is a quick drive of about 5 minutes away, downhill. Local public transportation is also accessible at this shopping center.

On a very positive note, a state park is right around the corner. This park offers an array of hiking, picnic sites, and playgrounds to choose from. A great place for family and friends to gather.

"Average neighborhood street for a middle class family"

Farringdon Drive has its conveniences. It's the first street off of a very large 4-corner intersection in the East side of San Jose. There are quit a few eateries to choose from as well as two large grocery stores to shop at. All within close walking distance. Major public transportation stops here so public transportation is also readily available.

The down side comes with noise and often fast driving cars, trying to take short cuts around the busy intersection. Farringdon Dr. otherwise, hosts it's variation of middle class, single family homes, with good sized front and back yards. The noise comes from delivery trucks and frequent sanitation trucks servicing the businesses behind Farringdon Dr.
