"Great area for quiet, yet nice neighbors to become friends with."

You are looking for a nice quiet homey place to live and have a close relationship with the neighbors? Having a good street to have block parties, having a little park nearby to have the kids to all play and know its all safe as you can keep an eye on them at all times.
103rd Dr is perfect! Very quiet nice houses all earlier ones from the 80's and 90's, There has been HUD houses perfect to get to build and fix up how you want and the pricing is all good as well.
Neighbors want to know you, talk and always let you know whats going on, they enjoy having block parties, and getting to know on another. Always there for one another, who needs cops?
Not far is a RTD bus stop, a HUGE field perfect for your dogs to play in Frisbee, not far is also Stanley Lake. gorgeous Lake to play in, jet skiing, water skiing, boats, and fishing all permitted. Elementary school not far, Stanley Lake High School not far.
Everything you need is pretty close, but this is a mixed area also, you will get mail if you put Broomfield, or Westminster. Another area they don't know what to call it. No matter, it is nice.
Also you can pull over off Simms St. and where it curves into 100th, you can see eagles and hawks flying around there all the time, you see the Stanley Lake, also from Simms st, you can see the mountains perfectly.
I recommend this street to anyone 100%.

"Wheres your house? Are your doors locked?"

When you hear the name Denver Ave, what do you think? I immediately think.. its in Denver. Well it is not there in Denver, no where near actually, its in Longmont.
Longmont is north towards Ft. Collins. Normally I would say the town is nice, but it has gone down the tubes. Has become infested with gang activities, and well more.
Denver Ave was a fairly quiet street. However, wheres your house?? There is a line of duplex's and they all look the same, the Paint, bricks, mailboxes. However on the other side are houses though pretty nice looking ones, depending on if they are taking care of it.
There was several criminal activities on the street however. A lot of car robberies, vandalizing, breaking and entering of houses, lots the stealing. So If you want a nice looking house but truly do not mind knowing you could have your house broken into, or your cars jacked, or broken into, then that's your street. I would never recommend anyone there. BUT if a lot of good people move in, and push out the criminals, it would be a perfect place to live, close to stores, hospital, dentist, Hover street has about everything on it, and it would be a nice low traffic area to live in. Push them out!

"If you like to live with the Roaches and Bad traffic...."

This might be a bit confusing about this street here, but its horrible regardless, no matter if your coming east or west, it is Hampden st, but there is an area where it is this street here, E. Jefferson. between them both.
There is a line of apartment complexes on the south side. That's all, and the north side, are a few houses, nothing spectacular at all.
I lived in the apartments, DO NOT waste your time, they are torn up, roaches, dirty people, hallways are all smelly, they are the blue ones in case you take a trip over there, a light blue in color. The Landlord never bothered with anything, staying with a friend there, didn't last very long.
Now there is a main street a couple blocks away, it is Broadway, Broadway leads into Denver, so it is always busy Very heavily traffic, across Broadway the street turns into Hampden ave.
One good thing however about living on E Jefferson is Swedish Hospital is not that far, on Girard Ave. Which is only a few blocks away. There is nothing special at this location, there's a Safeway. If you take a trip further away you can get to fast foods, and such, but, this is a pointless place to live.
Dirty, tagged, roach infested. Heavy traffic, and noisy, so really not a good place to stay.

"Nice area for curious adults, quiet life and fun."

While going down I-25 to Academy, then Heading down Academy Dr going east to Flintridge, take a right, the south side is pretty nice. Nice atmosphere, a bit of a business area right here though but nothing was dirty, I did not see any tagging, which is nice. Seemed to be a pretty quiet area, for being filled with some businesses, with the exception of seeing a few adults walking around.
I didn't get to far down as I was looking for a tattoo shop names area 51 they are located at 4775 Flintridge Dr they are not too bad, it was pretty clean inside and it was not too busy when I went in, it was around 2 pm on a weds, that explains a lot I'm sure, don't mind the burly man in there, hes friendly. There was a few places to eat near by which was good, There was a Denny's on the corner, and of course a McDonald's, but seriously where isn't there one?
We went into the Denny's, now the service is left to be desired to be frank, however Flintridge was nice from there off academy all the way down to more south, I cant recall the street we turned around on, but loads of housing there. Nice neighborhood, nice houses, they seemed quiet and nothing off the wall at all, most houses looked the same shape but still nice.
I remember seeing 1 house had a huge lifted dodge truck in the driveway. So i guess that street likes to have something exciting you would think? I would recommend this street to move on to what I have seen.

"Great food down the street, HORRIBLE street Run Away!"

On the 16th block of Kendall st, in Lakewood Colorado, which was mixed with Denver as well, it was on the border, they could not make up their mind as to what they wanted to be. Too many apartments which are dirty and full of trash.
I lived in a white house on Kendall st, it was a little house older, it was on the corner of Kendall and 17th, but, across the street is a building for problem teens, they would stay outside and blare music and be loud. which apparently was OK, Further down more houses which more trash, 16th and Kendall was near Colfax ave.
From going off Colfax working your way down, Colfax and Kendall has a Arby's and burger king, don't go there they mess up every time, use to have more there, but closed a lot of stores up, so mostly empty buildings, going up more the half way house, and then houses on other side, keep going from 17th to 20th was all the apartments, DONT live there, there was a pool house that was burned down.
There has been plenty of shootings in the field on the other side by the half way house as well. Go to 20th and head to Sheridan, OH MAN GOOD FOOD!!! only thing that street has going for it, its near good eats!

"22nd and Sheridan AWESOME Eats!!!"

Looking for some good places to sit down and have a good bite to eat? Wanting to go somewhere and know you are paying for is worth every cent? You want to get something different? Not the same ole taco, hamburger, chicken, it all gets so boring that's for sure!
Sure Sheridan has LOADS of places to eat, BUT nothing in the world is better then something different for take out!
On Sheridan blvd and 22nd street, there is a lot of Fantastic food!! First you have your drive through Starbucks, the people there are great they make sure your drinks are the best, you have to drive through the back of the building to get to it, the pull around!
Next door, OH MY, is Jersey Mikes, there is NOTHING better then a freshly made sub.
At Jersey Mikes, the meat is freshly cut, bread freshly made, and it tastes and lasts a while, prices great and the amount oh man you cant go wrong! You can keep it in your fridge and it wont get soggy after a few days at all, like subway does over 1 night .
Don't want that? Next door, Oh wowza, Sisters Pizza and Mussels, nothing like having awesome mussels mixed in different ways, a stone pizza made pizza, not the typical garbage from pizza hut, sisters does many different things, and they are so nice and have wine there as well, go dine in, or take out.
Sure you have these places across the street is the lake, but you know its dirty there, there is crime central all over Sheridan, and frankly a bit scary, you see stupid tagging all over, no one cares about the environment and dirty it,
Hot damn if you want good eats and live near there or is visiting! I recommend this section of the street to everyone for good eats

"Don't waste your time, unless you want things stolen?"

I have been to my friends house many many times on clay st, First to give you an ideal, federal blvd is near it, and well federal is trashy and gangs, now clay st is off 55th and federal, Say your going north on federal to 55th, on the west side you will see a yellow building its a place to sell fireworks, anyhow on the east side which is where you will be going to clay there is a chop shop on the right and dealership on the left, a purple building a bit down AWESOME pawn shop there.
Go down 55th to Clay st and go left, Now most the houses are all white houses, and are small ones, some look nice, but this is a fairly older area, which some of the wrong kind of people have moved to, from clay and 55th to clay and 64th all the way down is definitely full of kids, people with families, several houses known for drug busts. Pretty dirty street.
My friend lives on that street never use to be as bad as it is now, so unfortunately she is trying to move, so I don't recommend this street for anyone at all, they also have loud parties on the street, there are several thieves as well, as some house robberies has gone on.

"Nice Area for Business's,Visitors, locals and more."

Once your on highway 6 going west to exit that says S. Union Blvd/Simms St. When you take the exit you will see on the right businesses, 1 being a night club on the corner, the right side is simms st, the left S. union blvd. Go Left, You will go over the highway, and then come into a very nice area, very clean, busy, full of all you need really.
There is a RTD bus stop where all the buses who go to that area meet, there are Hotels, Wells Fargo bank, fast food of all sorts, pizza hut, chipoltes, nice place called Chads,Movie theatre loads of gas stations if need gas, up the street from union blvd down the frontage road is red rocks community college.
This is a area where there are a lot of businesses, good place to go and get a good high paying job. up the street is a place called Simms Landing, they are a high priced restaurant, and the tips are great as well.
I think the scenery is nice it is closer to the mountains, you can go to certain areas and look at the lovely mountains, there are loads of houses for sale, and apartments for rent, where you can have the mountain view.
This is a clean area, and loads of nice places to go. recommended to all truly.

"Life on The Hill in college town, fun for all."

I remember in the early 1990's it was about 1991 to 1994 I use to go to a dance club there in boulder, and it was fun, and loads of nice people, it was called ground zero, that place has gone through a few names though but I am not sure what it is called now, but I know there is a club still.
Now Hill St. Very nice place it is known as The Hill. It slopes like a hill, and it is very nice by the mountains as well.
There was the Small theatre named the Boulder Theatre they did the plays for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, its so much fun its a 1 screen old theatre go there and make sure you don't mention you are new, they will pull you on stage and put a V on your forehead have a good time! Music stores, There was a piercings store, they only did piercings, please forgive me I don't remember the name.
Everything was on the Hill, food places, a cigarette store, Coffee houses, around the corner was loads of apartments for college students, and then other sides, were houses, Oh the houses are lovely, very nice looking, some looks a bit upper glass, some looks older like early 1800's, you could see the mountains from the back yards of most of them, the way the mountains were faced.
Gorgeous, friendly and fun spot. CU was up the street, so all the college students would go there as well. Hard to find parking spaces though, if you plan to go to a spot on the hill, you need to go early, and hope you find a spot that's the only down fall. Gorgeous houses, I recommend it there, however, it does get a lot of snow though. Be careful.

"Nice Quiet big homes, great neighbors!"

Needing a nice area to live where there is kids for your kids to play with? fields to explore in? parks to play in? Trustworthy neighbors to help watch the area at all times, friendly and making friends with?
I use to live on this street 105th Place. Nice quiet street, very nice older homes, most made from the 60's and up to 90's. Pricing is generally pretty good depending of course. Normally around 150's some are lower though as well.
The Street is clean and ends up having 3 ways to get to it, so you can not get lost in the neighborhood at all, 2 streets circle and end up in an almost perfect circle. All the houses on the south side have a HUGE back yard with a big hill to be perfect to slide on when its full of snow.
People on the street, all nice, and been there for years, welcomes all new neighbors. Typically welcomes with plants. Behind the house on the south is a street countryside Dr, the there is a field a huge field perfect for bike rides, or have fun exploring, next is more houses and a greenbelt, with a nice play set for kids, volleyball net for adults and kids, a place to have a party if you didn't want it at your house, or even a block party.
If you are looking for a nice area to move I recommend this street all the way. Not too far from it, is a rec center, pool, sports you name it, a high school not far, Stanley lake high school, also you have stores near by as well.
If you go further north, there is another rec center, and a bit more is a mall. You will always have access to RTD and anything you would like, great place to go!
