"The Governmental Street in Daly City"

It is impossible to forget a street with such a simple name and that saying goes for D Street. For such an insignificant street name D street is lined with the Parks division, public works of Daly City and quite a lot of other public governmental offices. The street is pretty busy and was recently repaved early last year. Unless your a government worker or trying to get to Mission Street there really is not a whole lot to do on this road. You could check out a Chinese church and call yourself cultured. Haha.

"The Medical District"

Sullivan Avenue serves as the premiere medical district in Daly City. The Seton Medical Center is a very familiar hospital and when you are driving on Sullivan it is nearly impossible to miss an ambulance truck or doctor/nurse/student in a smock. I have been to the E.R. room a couple of times and the service if great. Sullivan Avenue also has a bunch of other familiar businesses like the delicious Krispy Kreme and a large post office. Traffic is usually moderate to heavy and there are certain areas of the street that need some patching up.

"Awesome views on Alta Loma Avenue"

The views from Alta Loma Avenue are pretty impressive if you are into modern contemporary structures. You can see skyscrapers from the windows of some of the houses. Unless your bank allows you to purchase houses near the million dollar mark the only thing you are going to be enjoying on this street is a nice walk or drive. They've even got their own school district. There is plenty of green in the area so it offers both nature and modernity. Take a stroll through this area sometime with your family or friends and appreciate the face value of the street.

"Some of my best childhood days were spent on San Miguel Avenue"

My dad lives in a story house on San Miguel Avenue. After my parents split up he bought the house and I spent quite a lot of weekends at his house. I am not really a fan of closed in spaces especially when it concerns houses being so close together and the house on San Miguel are pretty close together but I could never resist the vibrant atmosphere. I remember as a kid that I had a whole group of friends. We were always swimming in a pool, playing hide and seek or soaking each other with water guns. The memories from my childhood on San Miguel Avenue could be called my halcyon days. It really is a great area for a child to grow up and the safety is never really in question, although precaution these days should always be taken.

"The model neighborhood of a California forest fire"

When the news is always showing the neighborhoods in California that are being consumed by forest fires, Cerro Drive is what comes to mind. With the exception of some apartment buildings the houses are all very indentical. They are two stories with shingle roofs, adobe style qualities and double style garages. The street does a 180 and you literally can't tell the difference from point A to point B. Cerro Drive is good for jogging, walking your dogs, skate boarding and other outdoor activities. The ironic thing about the forest fires is that there is actually a pocket of a slight forest area that surrounds Cerro Drive on the Southern edge towards Cabrillo Highway.

"The Best Filipino Cuisine in Town"

Filipino cuisine is hard to find in Daly City which sucks because I absolutely love Filipino cuisine. I found this little cafe that specializes in Filipino cuisine on Colma Blvd called Manila Eatery. If you have never tried Filipino cuisine you are missing out. Colma Blvd also has plenty of other restaurants and a couple of bistro malls that offer consumer shopping and leisure. The street is essentially locked between two major roads which is apparent with all the traffic and travelers that stop on Colma Blvd for breaks and other reasons. Prepare yourself an extra fifteen minutes during peak volume times if you need to be somewhere on Colma Blvd and make sure that you check out Manila Eatery.

"Ice Cream trucks rule this street"

87th Street is a stretch of houses spread over a very residential neighborhood. The street is very well rigged up with wires and towers which provide for great wireless and cellular service. Every time I drive down this street or ride my bike down through 87th I see at least two ice cream trucks blasting their tunes being chased by children after those sweet treats. It often brings me back to my childhood. There are a couple of neighborhood watch signs up which ensures the safety of the children and probably gives parents a piece of mind.

"I couldn't find a street that offered a better deal for my age group"

You can definitely call the street sweet because it is called Sweetwood Drive after all. I share a house with two other girls while we are all three attending college. We got this house at a very convenient rate. I really can't complain. The traffic level is pretty quite even on the weekends, there are hardly any stray animals and the neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. Being only a couple of roads over from the freeway works out very well too because my girlfriends and I like to enjoy our weekends. The surrounding streets are pretty much the same. They all have the same sort of quiet appeal to them.

"One street that shares both sides with houses and factories"

One side of the street is dedicated to private factories and the other side of the street is lined with houses. It is one of those odd comparison streets because you have the cute family homes which are losing value because of the large factories that are literally ten paces away from the doors of the houses. The area is relatively safe and close to the freeway. The street itself is kind of sectioned off from most other streets because it is sort of in a square setup.

"The only color you see is Gray"

I have only driven down this street on cloudy days not by choice but by coincidence. The cloudiness seems to match the bleakness of Pierce Street. With the the exception of some a small patch of trees the only color that this street sees is gray. Aged metal fences loom over six feet in front of buildings. Passerby's can't even tell what is behind the fence. Most like they are probably abandoned buildings. There are a few residential complexes which are larger older houses that have been converted into multilevel apartments. The road itself is a dead end road so it does not really see that much traffic.
