Lake Walker is one of my favorite Baltimore neighborhoods. The housing stock consists of quaint well maintained bungalows, and lovely townhomes along Lake Avenue. The community is extremely friendly and close knit. It's within walking distance to two super markets, including the very posh Belvedere Square, as well as a gym, movie theatre, and park. There are also several casual and sit down restaurants within walking distance. It's a great neighborhood for both families and singles. The neighborhood was also approved for a new charter school recently that will be housed in a brand new building. This is sure to attract even more families. Most of the housing stock is well kept, with a few homes remaining that are ripe for renovation. With all the amenities I don;t know how this place stays so low key.
