"Malden, MA--Great place to live!"
Awesome city! The schools are great and the city is quite diverse. The current mayor is wonderful and continues to drive the city towards greatness. It's located minutes north of Boston and is very T-accessible. There are many great restaurants in the city. Great place to raise children!!!

"Reading, MA--A Disappointment"
Reading, MA is not very cultured and is quite a homogeneous town. I'm an educated Asian American woman and have encountered NUMEROUS of discriminatory events in this town. My first encounter was when I was shopping for groceries and all of a sudden my cart was "selected for random audit." I have no idea what that even means and the whole incident was very uncomfortable. The employees all gathered, stared at me, and some even laughed. In hind sight, I really should have just walked out of the market. Another incident was when I was followed around by a manager in CVS. Again, it was super uncomfortable. I swear I am a presentable-looking Asian American. I grew up in America and speak English quite well. After a few more of these incidents, I could only assume that I am encountering these events due to my skin color. I tried to give Reading, MA the benefit of the doubt, but there were too many incidents to overlook. I hope this changes in the near future and the town is rid of this kind of ignorance.
