"Busy, but convenient"

Another thoroughfare, full of apartment complexes and rental properties.

This is not far from the old Sherman Oaks Galleria (Like, OhMiGod!) It has been renovated in recent years, but hey it's where the Valley Girls got their start. Also not far from Ventura Boulevard which has more restaurants and shops that have everything you could possibly want.

As for public transportation busses are all over the place on Sherman Way, depending on what end of Sherman Way you live on you'll have access to the 405 (Van Nuys/Reseda) or the 170 (Universal City/North Hollywood). Van Nuys is in close proximity to Cal State Northridge.

"A little sketchy - but not that bad"

Wilton is a busy North/South alternate thoroughfare. Western is just a couple of easy walking blocks away where there is a Red Line station and Bus lines. Of course driving is always an option. There is a little shopping and a few restaurants. It's more a business hours only kind of area.

There's a fire station less than a block away, but that has never interfered with living life. I rarely heard sirens. Easy access to the rest of the city. Downtown is less than 5 miles east, Beverly Hills about 5 miles west. Hollywood 5 miles north, and the 10 freeway about 5 miles south.

Passing through the area is safe, but as with all urban areas be smart and stay alert. Living in the area, keep the doors to your home, your car, your dog house, whatever... locked just in case.
