"Welcome to Smalltown, USA"

After living in the city and suburbs of Atlanta for the past 10 years, Wisconsin has been a bit of a culture shock. Janesville and this street in particular.

It's quiet here and dark at night (except for the blanket of lightning bugs). The neighbors are friendly and kids are all over the place. Heavy traffic here is almost a joke after Atlanta.

And everything...EVERYTHING...is 10 minutes away, even though you're driving 25 -35 miles per hour.

"Quiet and secluded...except for the train"

Somewhere in the backwoods of LaGrange, GA, there's probably a neighborhood a little more secluded than this one, but I'd be hard pressed to name it. Beautiful houses, great access to the lake. The only downside is the railroad being so nearby.

"Good location, new management"

I've lived in this complex for a bit more than 3 years. For the most part, the complex is very family friendly. There's a completely enclosed 9 acre nature park with a walking trail that I use every day. The complex is reasonably close to decent food and decent shopping, though nothing is immediately nearby.

The management company recently changed hands, and they've had a number of stumbles in relating to existing residents. Things may shake out well after another few months or so.
