"Sweet Smell of Success"
The best way to experience Bel-Air is in a convertible. Even the air smells luxurious here, scented most of the year with jasmine and citrus blooms from the meticulously maintained lawns of the rich and famous. Don’t come looking for movie stars, however. You won’t find them here, where walls and hedges are built high to discourage paparazzi. But take a drive up Stone Canyon Road to the Bel-Air Hotel and have a drink in the bar for a vicarious taste of the good life.
