Borina Drive is a great small side street. Large enough to feel like a neighborhood but small enough to feel like a street. The yards are manicured to perfection. Garden weekly should definitely come and feature this neighborhood. This street is one of the older streets to spring up in the late 50's. If you have ever watched the Brady Bunch series, this is exactly what that street is like in terms of how it looks. I see plenty of housewives doing their annual power walks when I drive by. They look like a serious and mean crowd. I don't think that I could ever fit in with such a group. I don't think this is a street that you would want to mess with, because in doing so it means crossing paths with them.

I've had many futuristic dreams about this street when I drive down this way. For me this is the ideal street that I want to raise my family on. I could see myself living here after I'm married with a couple of kids in tow. The houses are all protected by large fences which give a sense of privacy and yet the yards seem spacious enough to be able to appreciate the great outdoors. The street itself always seems active so that makes it seem like a very friendly community. The road is in great condition, there are plenty of signs that say yield, neighborhood watch and other things to give my safety a piece of mind. It is set back from the fast life of San Jose but close enough to be of necessity. This street is just one of those perfect streets that I have discovered.

Do you believe in ghosts? Do you dare visit a haunted house? South Winchester Blvd is home to one the most famous former mansions in California, the Winchester Mystery House. Many people from all over California and the U.S. come to visit this awesome house. I will admit that it is a little creepy but can be really entertaining if you bring some along with you. The history of the house is a little interesting and weird but that is something that you can find out for yourself. There are plenty of other good reasons to come to South Winchester which include the Westfield Fair and quick access to the Junipero Serra Freeway. This is a great street with plenty of current and up to the trend activities to make anyone's schedule fun.

Easily one of the most recognizable streets in the San Jose area by name and sight. This street is a street that curves through the heart of the city. Personally I would never want to live on this street. The idea of my drive way being on a six laned road is rather daunting. I imagine the battle with morning traffic would be enough to send me on my way to a nervous breakdown. On the upside the houses are very well designed. They certainly give way to the modern era of a typical California bungalow. This street will lead you right into Santa Clara and Santa Clara University and along the way there are plenty of cafes to stop at to enjoy a nice and refreshing meal. This is also a great street for the non-locals because of its size you should be able to find everything at your disposal and it also offers easy access to most familiar places in the San Jose area.

Williams Road is nice because it offers a little bit of everything. There are houses, stores and even some parks. This is a great street for people that want a little access everything. The only drawback is the busy traffic which can be a little times intimidating. A lot of the houses are set so far back from the road though and they have backyards, so that should be a great advantage or families that have little kids. Another great thing about this street is the tranquility of colors that is provides in the fall. Sine a lot of the trees are natural, the leaves go through the normal color changes and eventually fall of the trees. I love driving through these kinds of streets and catching the color. It reminds me of my childhood home back in the New England area.

Do the loopity-doopity. I lived on Huff Avenue when I was in college. I always said do the loopity-doopity because the street is exactly a perfect 180 loop. Huff Avenue is home to apartment buildings. That is pretty much all the street is and they almost feel as if they are all connected which gives the feeling of one mass apartment building. There is very little privacy in terms of having a yard unless you land a pad with a private balcony. This is a great area for college students because in terms of pricing, it is economically practical. The area can be quite rowdy and loud at night because there are plenty of parties and other interesting activities that are going on at night. It certainly can be a very "interesting" area to live and I use that term lightly.

West San Carlos street is a Mecca of businesses. You have of fast cash shops, retail outlets and other consumer companies. The area is pretty commercial and lacks that sort of comfort feeling that you would get in other streets in San Jose. Maybe there is just too much concrete and very little green. The road itself is in great condition though, so driving even in heavy traffic can be smooth and easy. The street is also exceptionally wide and offers plenty of areas to do "legal" u-turns. The street is frequented by cops that are always hanging out in the little parking lots to catch people that run red lights or are speeding, so beware of them.

Spacious trees line the street providing ample amounts of shade and plenty of greenery. The houses are all lined with picked fences, well not all of them but enough of them to give that fine example of American suburbia. I had a house on this street a couple of years ago with my boyfriend. It is a great street for young couples and singles. The close location to the sprawling freeways of San Jose offers the perfect escape for the nightlife and the work life. There is a great park that is nearby and within walking distance which provides relief for dog walkers and joggers alike. I wished we would have never moved from that street.

The name of the street, Lick Avenue sums up exactly the image of the street. Besides the awful and odd name Lick Avenue is the type of street that reminds me of the end of the world. Every time I drive down the street I feel like I am in some zombie flick. The buildings are wait outdated and in dire need of a paint job. If you turn and look south you will see nothing but a field of dead grass and an old rail way track. The street does not have any normal houses, they are all older buildings. I think a couple of the buildings are occupied as actual houses because one of them has a garden and the rest are businesses. I have seen the mail truck delivering mail to them. Very odd street. Avoid it night, I am willing to bet that creeps hang out in the area.

Sherman street is way too narrow. I am very claustrophobic when it comes to small spaces. I don't think that residential streets are meant to be narrow and small. There is also street parking that is allowed which makes no sense when the cars can barely fit into their lanes. If you drive down this road with anything bigger than a compact sized car you are going to be in trouble. The street does widen out a little bit as it progresses but by then the street is almost at an end. The houses are so-so. They are nothing to write home about. I can hear the location of interstate 82 from my car windows, so it must really be unpleasant having to live in one of those houses and dealing with the constant noise of traffic.
