How safe is this block? St Marks Ave bet Brooklyn and Kingston.

i lived at the dead end corner of saint marks. It has a little park on the end, and an even nicer park the next block up near the brooklyn children's museum. my apartment was completely renovated in a nice brownstown. There seemed to be an influx of young families and young professionals as myself. Taking the C train late at night in kingston throop can get kind of sketchy so I would take the the 3 or the 4 on the other side of kingston throop sometimes. Overall it is a good area and a short walk to Franklin Ave. with a variety of restaurants and bars.
