Bexley is ideal if you've got the money. It has everything anyone could want, including great schools & restaurants, friendly neighborhoods and a central location not far from Downtown . . . just far enough. If Bexley is too pricey, look just to the east. The area bordered by Livingston & Main on the north & south, Bexley to the west and Eastmoor Blvd to the east has wonderful starter homes at more reasonable prices, with all of the same amenities as Bexley, excepting the school district. I lived on both sides of that Bexley border and miss it every day!

Further north there is Worthington and Lewis Center which has the large Polaris mall shopping area.

Grandview is hip area for yuppies (2nd choice is Short North). For more upscale neighborhoods, go to Upper Arlington, or any of the suburbs such as Dublin, Hilliard, and New Albany. Any areas where you see lot of cyclists and people walking and exercising outdoors is a good sign. Poor areas area easily identified by its proximity to Payday Loans, Dollar General, Junk Yards, repair shops, lot of fast foods, and littering on the roads.
