What are some of the best Silverton attractions for families?

There is the One Hundred Gold Mine Tour, a tour at a real mine that still has all the working equipment from the past. Silverton is also known for some pretty excellent hiking, and many of the trails are well maintained, so it's great for adults and children alike. I suggest trying the Ice Lakes Trail. It's just over 3.5 miles one way, but if it's not in the dead of summer, you may find some of the trail still covered with snow. This particular hike may be a challenge for younger kids, but there are many other trails that are kid friendly.
