Living in the Silver Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco - what's it like?

Living in the Silver Terrace neighborhood is not that great. I read one review that called it something like a "barred windows" neighborhood. I think that is a good way of thinking of it. There is not that much to do and you have some okay views of the bay but your are right by Bayview/Hunter's Point so gangs and crime are definitely something to be taken into consideration.

It is also not a very attractive neighborhood, either.
