It depends what beach you are trying to get to! Most Philadelphians head to the Jersey Shore during the summer, and to get to beaches along the south New Jersey shore, it takes about 1.5 hours. To get to the most popular beach spot, Ocean City New Jersey, it takes roughly an hour and 10 minutes.

To get to beaches in Delaware (Dewey Beach and Rehobeth Beach) it'll take you around 2 hours and 15 minutes. To get to beaches in Maryland (OC MD), it takes right around 3 hours. Beaches in other states like Virginia and the Carolinas will take over 5 hours to reach.
