Will I find many investors for a new local business in the town of Poughkeepsie?

You could probably find some. There are still a fair number of local businesses here (big chain stores and restaurants haven't smothered them all yet) and you can find people with money here. I wouldn't say that the Town of Poughkeepsie is exactly the sort of place where you'd find high rollers or anything, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't find investors or business partners here.
