Can the population of Spackenkill support a new business? New restaurants, cafes, bookstores, etc?

Yeah, the population here probably could, but that's also because the population of the surrounding areas is pretty substantial. The thing about Spackenkill is that it's very residential off of Route 9, but on 9 where you have the businesses, lots of them are big chain stores and restaurants. A new restaurant could probably do well here with the location and the amount of car traffic that comes through, but a bookstore probably wouldn't because the Barnes & Noble here would probably smother it. As always, it depends on what you're looking to open.
