Are there any fun local events like charity auctions, festivals etc in Crown Heights?

I don't say this to be disparaging to Crown Heights, but the next fun local event it has will be the first. Crown Heights is basically just a dot on the map, part of the greater Town of Poughkeepsie; there's neighborly spirit here, but really nothing like community spirit in the sense of parades, displays, or anything of that nature.
