Best Old-School Bars in Union Square

There is a great nearby Irish pub that I like a lot, but the name escapes me right now. I think it's immediately south of Union Square but I could be wrong. If anyone has any leads on what the place could be (if it is even possible to narrow it down) that would be great!

This is going to make me sound like a lush but around Union Square I can think of three: Lefty O'Doul's, the Chieftian and third one called something like "the Group" or the "the Club."

Of those three, my favorite is the Chieftian--I just dig the name.

My favorite in SF though is the Irish Bank on 10 Mark Lane. It's a little pricey for me these days, but the food is good and the atmosphere is fun. I used to go there when I was a paralegal in the city. (Cute professional type guys too!)

I really don't have a drinking problem. Okay time to go poor some Guinness on my Wheaties.
