What are some good local jobs around here for a college kid?

I'm thinking of moving here from Sheridan MT. to start a studying career in fine arts. I need a good solid job to help me pay for college and an apartment.

Will you be working while going to school? Or are you thinking of seasonal work with more hours per week? If it's the former, then try applying as a teller at any local bank branch. If you're working 20-30 hours a week, it's a fantastic student job, and sets you up with some retail/sales skills. Plus it teaches you a thing or two about banking, which is guaranteed to come in handy in life, long after you've left the job.

On the plus side (for an artist like yourself), no one expects you to fake that you're incredibly passionate about being a teller, so it leaves you free to be passionate about other stuff outside of work. (Banking supported my podcasting habit for 4 years.) I'm not saying this is the world's greatest career track, but it's an excellent student job.
