Wheelchair Victims
I was just wondering how many people are victims of wheelchair people.
Let me explain. My girlfriend was walking down the street yesterday to go to a store. She was at a corner waiting for the light to change. This person in a wheelchair yelled out, with an in an obnoxious attitude, and told her to get out of her way. The lady in the wheelchair was speaking in a Polish accent. The wheelchair person nearly ran her over. She had to move quickly just to get out of the way.
I understand that there are people in wheelchairs, but they don't have to act like they own the sidewalk. I actually know a person, who is handicapped, and she uses a wheelchair to get around. She is the sweetest person you could ever meet. When I tried to be friendly and kind, she told me she could do it and that she would be okay. But she said it in a nice way.
I can honestly say I haven't had any bad experiences. Usually, when I am walking down the street or arrive at an intersection, and I see someone in a wheelchair approach, I do my best to give them the space they need to get on the street.
Have anyone of you had bad experiences with people in wheelchairs.
