NYC's Hottest New Clubs

I don't remember seeing this in another forum posting so I thought I would mention it here.

There are new clubs that have opened recently for everyone's enjoyment. And what is good about these places is many of them do not have a cover charge. You just show up, go in, and have fun.

One such new place is Love. This is located in the West Village at 179 MacDougal St. You can contact them by calling 212-477-5683. You will find this place is covered in fake fur. The music keeps blasting will 4am. The sound system is regarded by the DJs as the best in the world.

Another rocking straight-up dance club is the bi-level Santos Party House. This place is located in Chinatown. it is at 96 Lafayette St Between Walker and White Sts. You can call them at 212-714-4646. They do accept credit cards for drinks. On Thursday nights they have a gay-only party called Counterfit. On Friday it is hip-hop night.

There are many more places you can go to. If anyone knows of any places that have opened recently, include them here for all to read. If you are single, you may just get lucky one night.

I am a bit old and jaded for NYC clubs but a cousin who is in the hospitality business was telling me recently about GoldBar( Nolita) -http://www.goldbarnewyork.com/ which is supposed to be one of the hottest clubs in the city currently. I personally prefer lounges like the weird but kooky Apotheke which is located in a dingy Chinatown alleyway http://www.apothekenyc.com/ and my all time favorite- Naked Lunch(http://www.nakedlunchnyc.com/) in Soho whose retro tunes I just adore.:)

Old and jaded? You? Don't make me laugh. You are still young. At least your pictures makes you appear to be very young. But I do agree with you about one thing. I don't go to clubs because there is a lot of drinking going on and people get stupid when they get drunk.

I personally prefer dives and the dance clubs in Williamsburg, which, though hipster-infested, are not in any way exclusive. They may have their own sort of snooty vibe but at least they don't turn people away at the door for not being scantily clad enough.

@hhusted thanks for the compliment but I assure you my clubbing days are long past..
@BroadwayBK I totally agree with you- I especially hate clubs like Cielo in the Meatpacking district which will only let you in if you agree to pay $300 upwards for bottle service..though I had a fun night bringing in a friend's 40th at Katra on the Lower East Side about a year ago.

@uptowngirl Ah, if only we all had $300 to spend on a $30 bottle of Absolut Mandarin!

Yeah, I've never been into the clubbing scene. A lot of it - though not all - involves people dying to show off how they spend money, even if they don't have much to begin with.
