New York City Yesterday

Anyone wonder what happened on this date in history here in NYC? Well in 1673 the mail service began to deliver mail from New York to Boston, along the famous Boston Post Road.

Also on this day in 1957, "The Mad Bomber," Georgew Metesky was arrested in Connecticut, after a long six-year manhunt. Metesky was known for terrorizing the city by having planted dozens of homemade bombs in public places. The reason was based on his way of getting back at his boss for a workplace injury he sustained. In the end 22 bombs explosed injuring 15 people.

Hope no one like him comes around NYC, and repeats what he did.
